Megan Tran

Meet Megan, Class of 2022, who has decided to pursue a Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Optometry degree at Deakin University. Megan was initially unsure about her future career path but after talking to a family friend who is an optometrist, she became surprisingly interested in the field and decided to pursue optometry as a career.

Megan chose Deakin University due to its accelerated program that can be completed in 3.5 years instead of 5, allowing her the opportunity to pursue further studies in the future if she so chooses. She is excited to embark on her university journey and experience the independence that comes with being a university student. Megan will be staying in student accommodation in Geelong, eager to have her own space and meet new people on campus.

Megan is looking forward to forming long-standing relationships with her clients and patients as she begins her journey in the field of optometry.
